About the challenge

Sorry. This event has been postponed!

Join. Decide. Build. Solve. Win.

Students seeking to change the lives of our neighbors within the Phoenix non-profit community.

The 24-hour technology event will align developers, cybersecurity students, designers, and business students in teams to produce a prototype solution to meet the needs of a select group of non-profit organizations. The event will include students from Grand Canyon University and any other college students willing to dedicate 24 hours to helping their community. After hearing the non-profit organization pitch a need requiring technical assistance across a wide range of disciplines, teams will decide what they can accomplish in the 24 hours to demonstrate the viability of their solution. The winning team for each non-profit will then receive a stipend to complete the project over a few months with the input of the non-profit.

Sorry. This event has been postponed!

A collection of non-profit agencies will be pitching on Saturday morning a need they have requiring an array of skills across technology, design, and business. Possible project areas could include mobile apps, websites, data analysis, system security, or other sites. Teams of students will have 24 hours to design, build, test, and present their prototype solution to judges, who will then decide on one winner for each non-profit project. There will be no limit to the tools, languages, and framework utilized, except all materials must be created within the time frame of the hackathon.

What to Submit

Sorry. This event has been postponed!

The submission will be a prototype solution to the need of the non-profit organization. In addition, the team will present their prototype professionally. Submissions will be judged on the viability of the prototype and the effectiveness of the proposed solution presentation.
